Our chefs backgrounds are Italy and Spain with an extensive experience in mediterranean gastronomy. Our History

Black Fire Restaurant best mediterranean restaurant since 2014

Our story dates back to 2014 in Canberra, when our founders, had the urge of sharing the passion for food and hospitality. It was then that they came with this idea of a mediterranean restaurant with the best slow roasted meats on a spit and best grilled steaks in town with an addition of most popular Spanish and Italian dishes. In Canberra we met a passionate chef who shared similar interests, Alessandro Spiga and since then he is our super star.

Seeing the love that Canberra people had for our restaurant and after winning few awards to the best European restaurant 3 year in a row and best European in Australia in 2016 we expanded to Brisbane with some of the team so we could share this wonderful experience in this beautiful city.  

Ever since, we’ve been known as best restaurant in CBD serving over 700 customers weekly. Humbled by the love we’ve received, we strive to continue giving you the best.

Such a great restaurant! True Spanish flavours. We had the pork belly for starters and the beef short ribs for mains.

This was our third visit to Blackfire and each has been of exceptional standard with excellent food and wine list top of the range service and comfortable surrounds , we really enjoy the menu as all courses provide variety in fact its one of the few places where we order three courses. this is now our go to in the City 9.5/10
